Mohawk welcomes new Dean

Summary

David Santi joins college as Dean of Engineering Technology

A long-time champion of the college, David worked closely with Mohawk on partnership and training agreements during his 25 year career at ArcelorMittal Dofasco.

David joined Suncor Energy Inc. in 2009 where he served in key leadership positions. His work at Suncor included leading the Suncor-Petro Canada Business Process Learning as part of the merger team and redesigning and implementing the company’s Engineers in Training (EIT) Program and the Learning Centre of Excellence. David comes to Mohawk from Strategic Dynamics where he was Managing Partner overseeing major initiatives such as business process improvement, change management, leadership development, training and organization development.

David is a graduate from the University of Western Ontario in Education & Technological Studies, Sir Sandford Fleming College in Natural Resources Heavy Equipment Technician. He has also completed the Executive HR programs from both the Ivey Business School and Queens University and has his Ontario Teacher’s Certificate.

Mohawk looks forward to David’s expert guidance and leadership as we undertake the largest renewal of engineering labs and  classrooms in the college’s history.

David joined Mohawk College on August 8.
