Mohawk’s Chief Innovation Officer joins discussion on Advanced Manufacturing at Burlington forum

Ted Scott ApprovedMohawk’s Chief Innovation Officer, Ted Scott spoke at a forum on Advanced Manufacturing Support this week. Organized by Burlington Economic Development, McMaster University and Mohawk College, the forum was an opportunity to share information on the resources available to manufacturers in Burlington and the surrounding region who are looking to compete in the global marketplace.

Ted spoke about Mohawk’s Advanced Manufacturing Resource Centre is able to support innovation and research in additive manufacturing at its state-of-the-art lab in Hamilton. He emphasized Mohawk’s partnerships with government support programs and strong ties to industry.

Other speakers at the event included Gay Yuyitang, Executive Director, McMaster Industry Liaison; Mary Balfour, Regional Manager, MEDEI; and Allen Porstner-Sheuka, Industrial Technology Advisor, IRAP. Joining Ted from Mohawk were Engineering Dean Tony Thoma, Professor Robert Gerritsen and AMRC Interim Project Manager Curtis Pastorius.
