Mountaineer Varsity Highlights – October 22
The past week saw some promising results for Mountaineers cross country. At the OCAA Invitational last weekend, Ashley Lof placed 15th for the women and Jacob Chant, a first-year athlete from Waterdown, placed 11th. Men’s cross country finished third place, their second third place finish of the year. Women’s cross country placed fourth as a team. They’ll race in the OCAA Championships on Oct. 30.
First-round losses resulted in early exits from OCAA soccer playoffs for both the women’s and the men’s teams. There was ongoing women’s softball action.
This marks the end of the season for those three varsity teams, as the Mountaineers prepare for the upcoming volleyball and basketball seasons.
