Mountaineers Strike Partnership With Under Armour

The Mohawk College Department of Athletics and Recreation is excited to announce a partnership with Under Armour, one of North America's leaders in sports apparel and footwear.

The partnership will see Mountaineer varsity teams transition to exclusively wearing Under Armour uniforms and jerseys as well as all player packages and organizational gear immediately.

The Mountaineers program continues to press forward, looking to establish themselves amongst the elite of the OCAA. The partnership with Under Armour is just another stepping stone in creating a brand that will help draw some of the best prospective student-athletes, both provincially and nationally, to Hamilton.

"As we continue to establish a culture of high-performance and podium success, it was important to have a brand with a similar vision that would help deliver the best product to the Mountaineers community," says Director of Athletics, Matthew Ferreira.

"I have no doubt this partnership with Under Armour will be a key part to the success of the Athletic Department at Mohawk College."

Not only will this make a big impact on the varsity athletes and the athletics department, but the Mohawk community will be able to get in on the action as well. The Mountaineers have opened an online shop through Quality Sport Ltd., a custom apparel company based out of Montreal. Quality Sport will service the partnership between Mohawk Athletics and Under Armour.

The online shop will allow Mohawk students, staff, alumni and the general public to get their hands on their favourite Under Armour Mountaineers clothing and apparel.

We're excited to bring the Under Armour brand to campus as Mohawk embarks on a new, exciting era of Mountaineer Athletics," says Casey Auerbach, Quality Sports' director of sales. "Quality Sport will be here to help maximize brand exposure and make the athletes, coaches and staff look and feel great."

The entire Mountaineers program is looking forward to dawning the Under Armour logo and are excited to see the importance it plays in the organization as we continue to navigate into a new era of Mohawk Athletics.
