Mountaineers varsity highlights– September 20, 2024
The Mohawk Mountaineers saw some success this past week, led by their women’s softball team picking up two wins.
Softball’s victories included a 9-4 defeat of the Conestoga Condors and a 5-2 win over the Humber Hawks. Mohawk’s victory over Humber was the programs first since 2017.
Despite beginning the week with a loss, the Mountaineers women’s soccer team were able to pickup a point when they tied the Niagara Knights 1-1. Mohawk’s goal came in extra time, providing a dramatic finish to the contest.
It wasn’t the best weekend for men’s soccer as they dropped two consecutive after a strong opening week.
