The Village at St. Elizabeth Mills and Mohawk College Open Student-run Fitness Centre

October 1, 2018 (HAMILTON, ON) - Mohawk College is expanding a partnership with The Village at St. Elizabeth Mills on Hamilton Mountain with the opening of a new student-run fitness centre.

The on-site fitness centre will help villagers meet their health and wellness goals while giving real world experience to students in Mohawk’s Health, Wellness and Fitness program. The clinic will offer placements for up to 16 students throughout the year. Students will work with villagers on circuit training, clinics and classes and offer personal fitness assessments.

In June 2017, Mohawk opened a student-run massage therapy clinic. More than 100 residents visit the clinic monthly for hour-long massages.
