Nonprofits in need of marketing and communications help invited to April 30 info session at Mohawk College's The Agency

The Agency at the McKeil School of Business is holding an information session on Tuesday, April 30 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in room i205 in the Fennell Campus for nonprofits and community groups interested in marketing and communications help in 2013-14. The information session will help nonprofits prepare their requests for proposal to work with students, faculty and staff from The Agency.

Opened last September, The Agency serves as a living lab for students from a number of Mohawk programs, including:

  • Advertising

  • Graphic Design

  • Journalism

  • Marketing

  • Public Relations

  • Radio & Television Production

  • Software Programming

The mandate of The Agency is to get students involved on selected campaigns primarily for not-for-profit organizations. Student teams work together under the guidance of Mohawk College faculty and staff, creating and delivering comprehensive marketing communications solutions for actual clients in a professional environment.

In 2012-13, students worked on a number of AGENCY campaigns, including the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation, Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, Bay Area Science and Engineering Fair, Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, Summit for Sick Kids and other non-profit groups.
