Ontario Using Government Lands to Build Long-Term Care Homes in Hamilton

Officially announced on Thursday, July 31, the Ontario government is selling the former Hamilton Psychiatric Hospital through the Surplus Lands program in support of developing two long-term care homes with 512 new long-term care beds as well as more than 1,000 additional homes. 

As part of the deal for the land located across the street from the Fennell Campus, Mohawk College has purchased 7 acres for future expansion.
