Register now for Clean Air Commute Week

Clean Air Commute Week is an annual free event that encourages commuters to try an active or alternative transportation mode for their daily commute. Clean Air Commute Week runs from Monday, June 13 to Saturday, June 18.

In addition to promoting active and alternative transportation, the purpose of Clean Air Commute Week is also to show participants that by changing their transportation habits they can reduce their carbon footprint. The online log book calculates users emissions savings based on the distance travelled and the type of transportation used.

At the end of the week the total amount of emissions saved by every employer that participated will be tallied to measure the success of this year’s Clean Air Commute Week. Last year’s the event saved over 500 tonnes of pollutants.

What counts as alternative transportation? Walking, cycling, roller blading, taking public transit, carpooling or even just giving your car a really good tune up all count as cleaner commuting methods. Already doing it? Don't worry. You're still eligible to participate.

Everyone that registers and logs at least one commute will be eligible to win one of this year’s great prizes. Don't forget to select Mohawk as your workplace/school from the drop down menu at the top of the registration page.
