Secure bike pad at Fennell Campus opens Monday

Bike padStarting Monday, Mohawk students and staff will have a more secure option to store their bicycles on campus.

The College's restricted-access bike pad opens Monday, Nov. 21. More than 40 bicycles can be stored in the facility which is located outside C Wing next to the bus stop. Cyclists can either store their bike vertically in one of the hanging racks or on the ground in a traditional bike rack. A simple U-lock will secure both tires and the frame of the bike to the racks. Security cameras will monitor the facility for added protection.

For a $35 membership fee, cyclists will receive a key fob that has been specially programmed to access the bike pad. The membership is valid until August 31, 2012. To purchase a membership print off the Membership Form located on the Sustainability Office website, complete it and bring it with you to the Fennell Campus bookstore.
