Teaching Excellence Award Peter Olynyk Photo

The Honourable Senator David Braley will be recognized Friday morning for making one of the largest donations in Mohawk's history. The donation will support the Fennell Campus renewal project. Launched in the summer of 2009, more than 70,000 square feet of space has been constructed or renovated for students. By September, more than $80 million will have been invested in the campus.

All students, faculty and staff are invited to a special ceremony at 10 a.m. in the gymnasium at the new Athletic and Recreation Centre (enter next to the white tent in the parking lot). Senator Braley's gift will be recognized by Mohawk President Rob MacIsaac, Mohawk Foundation President Wayne Joudrie, Mohawk Students' Association President Ryan Chow and Mohawk varsity athlete of the year Megan Campbell. A tailgate party will take place after the announcement.
