Three Mohawk music faculty nominated for Music Teacher of the Year (post-secondary)

Three Mohawk College music faculty have been nominated for the Music Teacher of the Year (post-secondary) award at this year's Hamilton Music Awards.

The Mohawk nominees are Violin professor Jemshed Turel, Woodwind professor Terry Basom and Classical Guitar professor Emma Rush. All three are professors in the College's Applied Music program. The Music Teacher of the Year Awards will be given out on Saturday night at the HMA's Industry Awards show, held at the McIntyre Centre for the Performing Arts at Mohawk College's Fennell Campus.

Another Mohawk music faculty member, Cellist Kirk Starky, has also been nominated for Music Teacher of the Year (Independent School).
