Weeks of Welcome orientation guide now available

Mohawk has added designated and preferred parking spots close to campus entrances for students and staff who share rides and carpool to the college. Carpooling is part of Mohawk's strategy to promote and support sustainable transportation options that include the Smart Commute Carpool Zone for Mohawk College, more parking spots for cyclists and a revisiting of discounted public transit rates for students.

Smart Commute Hamilton is an association led by the City of Hamilton which works with local businesses and community organizations to provide programs and initiatives that encourage the use of active and sustainable transportation. In partnership with Metrolinx and other GTA communities, Smart Commute has a larger mandate to take action on congestion and climate change in the GTHA through transportation efficiency, policy development and infrastructure renewal.
