Dynamic duo organizing spring concert at Mohawk

NEW: Mary and Emily raised nearly $2,000 at their Spring Concert and donated the money in support of student scholarships. Ken Wallis, Associate Dean of Music and Media congratulated Mary and Emily, saying "I wanted to extend congratulations to both of you for the fine work you did organizing the student fundraising concert. It was a superb event and the music was great. The bands, vocalists and choirs were quite entertaining. You've started a tradition that I hope continues for many years."

Second-year Music students Mary McKay and Emily Kemp are organizing a Spring Concert featuring their fellow students. The concert takes place Thursday, May 21 in the McIntyre Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Proceeds go to The Steeltown Friends of Mohawk Music in support of master classes and clinics offered to students and the community throughout the year.  Tickets are only $15 and $10 for students. For more info, contact Bob Miller with The Steeltown Friends of Mohawk Music.
