In the news: Mohawk student inspired to pursue a career in Nursing

Seven students from Mohawk's Practical Nursing program presented research posters at the Registered Practical Nursing Association of Ontario's annual general meeting and conference earlier this month. The students presented evidence-based posters on "What is the best way to assess pain?" and "What is the best way to prevent pressure sores?". The third-semester students researched the most recent evidence and best practice guidelines to provide recommendations for nurses in clinical practice. The students submitted abstracts to the association earlier this year. Congratulations to Ruben Ozuna, Elena Ventskovskaya, Katie Macpherson, Joanna Milner, Andrew Janisse, Claudia Quintero and Alicia Guedez.
