Ontario Trillium Foundation - Mohawk College community building project call for applications

The Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) and Mohawk College are looking for a community partner in need of an extreme home makeover in 2015.

One eligible nonprofit in Greater Hamilton will be chosen for the third annual community building project by OTF and Mohawk. In 2014, OTF and Mohawk renovated Delta United Church. The Old Firehall Arts Centre for Theatre Ancaster was renovated in 2013.

The partnership is the first of its kind between OTF and an Ontario community college. The OTF provides the grant while Mohawk supplies the faculty-supervised crew of approximately 100 Building Renovation students and secures gifts-in-kind from industry partners.

Interested organizations are asked to attend an information session on Thursday, May 22 at 7 p.m. in the Friendship Hall at Delta United Church at 47 Ottawa St South. Grant applications will be due by Tuesday, July 1 with the community building renovation project to take place over three weeks in March 2015.
