Tentative agreement reached with Ontario college faculty: agreement to be ratified by membership

A tentative agreement has been reached between Ontario's colleges and the union representing faculty across the province. The details of the agreement will not be released until a member ratification vote is scheduled and held in the coming weeks.

"We are very pleased to have reached this agreement ahead of the contract expiry of Aug. 31 as we welcome hundreds of thousands of students to our campuses across the province next week," said Sonia Del Missier, Chair of the College's Bargaining Team. "This agreement continues to recognize the value we place in our faculty while respecting the financial challenges facing the sector."
